LA CARLOTA CITY, NEGROS Occ. – Universal Robina Corporation (URC), led by its President and Chief Executive Officer Irwin Lee (right), conducted its third monthly collection of used plastics for its waste management program, Juan Goal for Plastic (JGFP). Showing support is La Carlota City Mayor Rex Jalando-on (left) who was a keynote speaker during the recent JGFP activity in Barangay RSB in La Carlota City.
JGFP is a Gokongwei Group-wide plastic waste management program that aims to help keep plastics away from nature through collection and recycling. URC piloted the program in La Carlota City last July, 2022, and now has seven collection sites in communities within Luzon and Visayas. As part of its long-term commitment to achieve plastic neutrality, the food manufacturing company is looking to launch more collection sites nationwide.
