Krizia Taxi Company, a major transport operator in Davao City, has modernized its fleet communications with Hytera’s Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) technology, boosting operational efficiency, regional coverage, and customer satisfaction.
The transition from an outdated analog radio system to Hytera’s digital PoC solution marks a milestone in the company’s effort to improve fleet management and real-time communication.
Krizia Taxi had long grappled with frequent signal dropouts, poor audio quality, high maintenance costs, and the absence of location tracking—issues that became more pressing as its operations and customer demands expanded.
In response, Hytera, a global leader in professional communication solutions, deployed a full-suite PoC communication platform tailored to Krizia’s needs, centered on its HyTalk management system and PNC360S and PNC380 handheld devices.
“As someone involved in the taxi industry, I can personally attest to the transformative impact that two-way radios have on our operations,” said Ryan Sia, owner of Krizia Taxi Company.
“Hytera’s solution has empowered our team with reliable, instant communication and improved safety features, which are vital to both our drivers and passengers.”
Unlike traditional analog radios that rely on expensive and limited-range repeaters, Hytera’s system operates via existing mobile networks and Wi-Fi infrastructure, removing the need for costly infrastructure while expanding coverage throughout the Davao Region.
The system enables dispatchers to locate drivers via built-in GPS, send ride assignments, and monitor fleet activity in real time, resulting in quicker ride allocation and significantly reduced wait times for passengers.
Hytera’s rugged PNC360S radios are built to military-grade durability standards and feature crystal-clear audio, ideal for the noisy environments of road operations, along with emergency alerts to enhance driver safety.
The devices’ robust design helps reduce equipment turnover, further lowering operational costs and ensuring long-term value.
Implementation and training were facilitated by Hytera’s local partner, VMO Enterprises, which provided hands-on guidance to Krizia’s staff to ensure smooth system adoption.
Since adopting the new communication system in 2023, Krizia Taxi has reported faster dispatcher response times, improved coordination among drivers, and a noticeable increase in customer satisfaction—all of which have contributed to business growth.
By embracing Hytera’s PoC solution, Krizia Taxi has not only overcome the limitations of analog communications but also positioned itself at the forefront of digital transformation in the Philippine taxi industry.
For transport companies navigating the logistical challenges of sprawling cities and remote areas, scalable and cost-effective digital communication systems like Hytera’s offer a future-proof upgrade path.
