ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Approximately P216,000 worth of school materials were stolen when unidentified suspects broke into a kinder school early Monday morning, June 17, in Barangay Mongpong.
School properties of Brilliant Kinder School on Jimenez Road, Barangay Mongpong, were in disarray when Lisa Aguil, one of the teachers, entered the premises.
She said the suspects might have entered the classrooms through the sliding windows and took valuable items.
Among the missing items were five laptops (Samsung and Acer), a humidifier, school supplies, a television set, and other items estimated to be worth around P216,000.
She noted that the CCTV cameras were not in operation as the main switch was off to avoid fire hazards while the school was on vacation.
The police are currently investigating the incident to identify and apprehend the suspects.
The school management is appealing to the public to report to the police if they are offered any of the stolen items for sale.
