After a disappointing ending against Stallion Laguna FC that ended in a 1-1 draw, the boys of Kaya FC-Iloilo are laser-focused to get the job done against another tough squad in Mendiola FC.
One of the main focuses of the Iloilo-based football squad is converting more goals as their last three matches ended with just one goal each cashed in for Kaya.
With many opportunities to convert more and add to their goal tally, Kaya head coach Yu Hoshide emphasized that his booters just need to stay aggressive and good things will come for them in the offensive end.
However, after a rough outing against Stallion, Kaya will face another defensive-minded team in Mendiola.
Despite Mendiola falling in its past matches, Kaya cannot take this team lightly due to their experience as one of the veteran teams in the Philippines Football League (PFL).
Good things are also falling into place for Kaya as Ilonggo team captain Jovin Bedic already found his stroke and registered his first goal of the season in their previous match.
Action will kick-off today at 9 AM in the national training center in Carmona, Cavite with Kaya trying to hold on to the top spot of the standings and Mendiola seeking their first bubble win.
