ROXAS CITY, Capiz A 39-year-old village councilor or kagawad is being hunted by the police for shooting a resident afternoon of May 15, 2019 at Poblacion, Tapaz, Capiz.
Noemi Dimas, 19, is now in critical condition due to a gunshot wound inflicted by Solomon Galomero, a kagawad of Agpalali village also in Tapaz town.
Police investigation indicated that Dimas and his father were on their way home on board a motorcycle when he allegedly sideswiped Galomero.
Galomero confronted the victim until a heated argument ensued.
Witnesses said that the kagawad drew a gun tucked in his waist and shot the victim.
The victim was brought to the hospital in Tapaz and later transferred to Iloilo City for further treatment while the suspect fled.
Police believe that the two have long-standing grudges against each other.
