BACOLOD City – Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose “Bong” Lacson and Kabankalan City Mayor Pedro Zayco Jr. signed a Memorandum of Agreement for the operationalization of Kabankalan City Animal Hospital Tuesday afternoon at the Governor’s Office.
It is a collaborative program of Kabankalan City government and the provincial government for the benefit and welfare of animals in Kabankalan City and in all neighboring LGUs.
As stated in the MOA, the province will allocate budget for the procurement of the necessary furnishings and fixtures, equipment, supplies, and biologics needed for the operation of the said animal hospital.
It will also provide technical supervision through the Provincial Veterinary Office for efficient and effective delivery of basic animal health and production services.
Meanwhile, the city government will operate and manage the animal hospital and shoulder utility expenses.
The MOA signing was witnessed by Board Members Jeffrey Tubola and Andrew Montelibano, Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, Provincial Legal Officer Atty. Alberto Nellas, Jr., and Provincial Veterinarian, Dr. Renante Decena, among others.
