The accolades just keep on pouring for June Mar Fajardo.
The San Miguel Beermen superstar behemoth clinched his 6th straight PBA MVP award, the only player to do it in the history of the PBA.
Leading the Beermen to two championships last year, Fajardo’s impact on the team just shows how efficient they can run their sets when he’s inside the playing court.
Also, aside from delivering two titles to San Miguel last year, Fajardo notched the PBA Best Player of the Conference award, the highest individual accolade last season.
As the years go by, the numbers only cemented Fajardo’s stature in the league after averaging a staggering double-double per game, 18.7 points and 13.0 rebounds with 1.5 blocks.
The gentle giant from Cebu, unfortunately, fractured his right tibia a few months ago and will be unavailable the whole duration of the Philippine Cup.
This is the first time the San Miguel squad will miss their superstar big man for one whole season since he got drafted, and the Beermen will be tested big time with Fajardo out.
