Jobstreet by SEEK, TESDA team up for WorldSkills 2026

MANILA — Online employment platform Jobstreet by SEEK is partnering with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority to support Filipino technical-vocational talent at WorldSkills Philippines Clark 2026.
The event, also known as the 21st National Skills Olympics, will be held Sept. 7-11 at the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga.
The competition will bring together about 350 participants from TESDA’s 18 regional offices to demonstrate their abilities in 30 skill areas, according to TESDA.
The skill areas cover construction and building technology, manufacturing and engineering technology, information and communication technology, creative arts and fashion, social and personal services, and transportation and logistics.
The event seeks to promote technical excellence, innovation and industry-relevant training while preparing participants for international competition.
Jobstreet said the partnership supports its commitment to helping job seekers acquire the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the labor market and pursue viable careers.
Through its Career Readiness Program, Jobstreet will provide training as part of TESDA’s skills competition activities.
Participants will hear from speakers about employer expectations and the hiring process.
They will also learn how to develop curriculum vitae, or CVs, and participate in mock job interviews.
The sessions are intended to help participants present their technical abilities effectively to prospective employers.
The program will also help participants understand how to move from skills development to employment.
“WorldSkills gives us a powerful view of what Filipino talent can achieve, but the bigger opportunity is what happens when that talent meets the right employer. We want to help close that gap. By working with TESDA, we’re assisting skilled Filipinos move beyond proving what they can do and toward finding where those skills can take them,” said Dannah Majarocon, managing director of Jobstreet by SEEK Philippines.
The partnership underscores the role of technical-vocational careers in developing a skilled and future-ready workforce.
WorldSkills Philippines operates under TESDA as the country’s organizing body for national skills competitions.
Gold and silver medalists may be selected to represent the Philippines in WorldSkills International, WorldSkills Asia and WorldSkills ASEAN competitions.
The Philippines joined the global WorldSkills organization in 1994, according to the country’s WorldSkills member profile.
