Another Filipino Mixed Martial Artist is set to debut in Southeast Asia’s biggest professional league in ONE Championship.
Jeremy Pacatiw, one of the biggest names in the bantamweight division of BRAVE CF, is ready to impress in ONE and just signed with the Philippines’ main MMA grounds, Team Lakay.
“When I look at my seniors like Kuya Eduard Folayang, I always feel that I want to join ONE Championship. I really like what they are promoting, which isn’t all about trash talking but rather building a legacy. I always admired their vision,” Pacatiw said.
Pacatiw fought like a beast when he was still in BRAVE CF and stopped his last opponent via knockout victory that ended his reign there with a 10-4 record.
Now that he’s lined up against the best bantamweights, Pacatiw is expecting to have a tough road ahead of him.
With the likes of teammates Kevin Belingon, champion Bibiano Fernandes, and no. 1 division contender John Lineker, Pacatiw is indeed in a stacked place.
“But I handle it through maintaining my focus on the path I want to go to so that I can achieve my goals. My seniors have also reminded me to double-time and focus on my training because this is already a big organization and I’ll be facing a lot of high-caliber opponents. So I really have to train hard,” Pacatiw added.
As of now, ONE is yet to lineup Pacatiw for his debut fight but will begin buckling up for his potential future in the league.
