ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A conductor of a passenger jeep was stabbed to death by a townmate on Holy Thursday at Barangay Bula, Mambusao, Capiz.
Police identified the victim as Boy Marcelino of the said place.
Investigation by the Mambusao Municipal Police Station indicated that Marcelino and the suspect identified as Randy Guillen, 48, of Barangay Guintas Sigma, Capiz, were seen arguing.
Few seconds later, the suspect was seen chasing the victim until they reached a rice field.
Guillen caught up with Marcelino, who fell to the ground, and stabbed the latter thrice in the chest.
Marcelino was taken to Mambusao District Hospital where he was declared dead.
Guillen was arrested in a hot pursuit operation and presently detained at Mambusao Municipal Police Station.
