Basketball and other contact-sports may still be inactive in Iloilo City, but the spirit of unity and camaraderie remains strong amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The JB Sports, through founder and commissioner Jayphet Balbacal, and the Ninja Nancy Osborne through founder Mary Ann Portia Bernil, distributed their second batch of relief goods to 23 referees and table officials in Iloilo City.
This is the second collaboration of JB Sports and Ninja Nancy Osborne with the main aim of helping the referees whose livelihood was affected because of the lack of basketball games due to the pandemic.
Ninja Nancy Osborne, a Tigbauan-based sports program, dished out packs of rice, coffee, embutido, and eggs while JB Sports provided assorted canned goods.
Tigbauan Ninja Nancy Osborne supervisor Ronald Julaton graced the relief drive together with members of the sports program and main contributor Bib Angelo Pitogo.
