Despite the suspension of almost all sporting activities including basketball, the JB SPORTS through founder and commissioner Jayphet Balbacal, and the Ninja Nancy Osborne through founder Marry Ann Portia Bernil is letting everybody know that the spirit of teamwork is still here in the city of love.
Since the suspension of organized sports because of the COVID-19 pandemic, referees were greatly affected because of the lack of basketball games – which serves as their main source of livelihood.
So to give back to the dear officials supervising the games, the JB SPORTS in collaboration with Bernil’s Ninja Nancy Osborne gave out food and other necessities to aid them in their everyday needs.
Ninja Nancy Osborne, a Tigbauan-based sports program, also conducted a relief operation months prior that had a total of 200 families as their beneficiaries.
The JB-Ninja Nancy relief operation distributed packs of rice, canned goods, eggs, chorizos, hams, and hotdogs to 20 referees and technical men from all over Iloilo.
The Tigbauan Ninja Nancy Osborne is headed by Bernil, supervised by Ronald Julaton, and a contributor during the operation was Bib Angelo Pitogo.
Major sponsors in the JB SPORTS are Erp’s Bulalohan, JB ABL/Master Cup, Daily Guardian, Mighty Mouse Basketball, Hiyang/Pepsi, JKG/CTG, ODM Sportswear, Queen’s Pension House/Yu Chin Milk Tea, Asialink/E&C Trucking, Uniwheels, Malditos/Refresco/Jollyfeet, OJNA, XYZ/TOTO-TIA-TEN, Systemic Farm, Forever Smile Dental Clinic, and team MEDICS.
