JARO FIESTA SCENES

The annual religious fiesta of Jaro, Iloilo City in honor of Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria (Our Lady of Candles) is known all over the world not just for cockfighting but also the high religious fervor that fills the air.

The fiesta gives devotees the opportunity to express their faith through prayer and lighting of candles. It is also a menagerie of the usual human activities associated to fiestas such as carnivals, fairs, and fun.
