Capt. Marlon Perez was relieved as chief of police of Janiuay Municipal Police Station more than seven months after he assumed the post.
Col. Bayani Razalan, Iloilo Police Provincial Office director, confirmed that Perez was taken out of his post effective Saturday, April 11.
When asked for the reason, Razalan said it was an administrative relief that emanated from Police Regional Office 6.
He said they just implemented the order.
According to reports, a couple of personnel went to PRO-6 headquarters and accused Perez of illegally barging into their home.
The couple executed an affidavit before the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division.
Meanwhile, Mayor Paulino Pari-an of Janiuay picked Capt. Randy Lambungan, Oton deputy police chief, to take over Perez’s post.
No other chiefs of police were relieved in Iloilo province.
