The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) has ordered the relief of two municipal police chiefs effective Sept. 2, 2025.
Col. Bayani Razalan, Iloilo police chief, confirmed the relief of Police Capt. Hector Ayagan of the Janiuay Municipal Police Station and Maj. Jose Nemias Pamplona of the Pavia MPS.
When asked what triggered the relief, Razalan simply said they were “cautioned.”
Ayagan was allegedly caught in civilian clothes while on duty on the same day the relief order was enforced.
“We did an announced inspection at 10 a.m. Tuesday and he was not wearing his police uniform,” Razalan said.
Capt. Marlon Perez will take over Ayagan’s post.
Razalan said Pamplona was relieved due to an internal discipline procedure.
He did not disclose the specific reason.
Capt. Rits Field Presquito replaced Pamplona.
Ayagan and Pamplona were reassigned to the IPPO headquarters at Camp Sumagaysay in Sta. Barbara.
