Jamindan motorist found dead in Ivisan fishpond

IVISAN, Capiz — A motorist from Jamindan, Capiz, was found dead Sunday morning, Sept. 27, in a fishpond in Sitio Manaulan, Barangay Cudian, Ivisan.

The Ivisan Municipal Police Station identified the victim as alias “Leonardo,” 33, of Barangay Jaena Norte, Jamindan, Capiz.

A concerned citizen found the victim near the fishpond beside his Bajaj motorcycle.

He was brought to a hospital in Roxas City but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

The victim’s body was brought to a funeral home in Jamindan for an autopsy.

Initial police investigation indicated that the victim was driving his motorcycle early Sunday morning when he lost control of the vehicle and plunged into the fishpond.

A concerned citizen discovered the victim at around 7 a.m.

Police are continuing their investigation to determine the circumstances and exact cause of his death.
