BAROTAC NUEVO, Iloilo – The Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology successfully conducted its University Entrance Examination on Saturday, April 12, 2025, accommodating more than 5,000 examinees across its five campuses and sites.
University President Dr. Nordy D. Siason Jr. congratulated the examinees, their parents, guardians and loved ones for their cooperation and patience during the examination.
He also extended his appreciation to the organizing teams and volunteers for their careful planning, execution and promotion of the exam.
“The successful completion of this year’s UEE is a testament to the collaborative spirit of our ISUFST community,” Dr. Siason said.
“I commend our faculty, staff, student volunteers and administrators who worked tirelessly to make this happen,” he added.
“To our examinees and their families, your perseverance and dedication have already marked you as winners.”
This year saw a significant increase in UEE applications compared to the previous year.
A total of 5,700 examinees registered across ISUFST campuses.
Despite the turnout, only about 1,000 slots are available for freshmen in School Year 2025–2026, making the selection process highly competitive.
UEE results will be released in the third week of April.

Once results are posted on ISUFST’s official Facebook page, examinees are encouraged to visit their campus’ Student Support Center (formerly OSAS) to check their status.
Successful applicants will proceed to the next steps, including aptitude tests and interviews.
The final list of admitted students will be released on May 9, 2025.
Established in 1957, ISUFST is the country’s premier fisheries university and is recognized for academic excellence and innovation.
It currently serves about 8,500 students and employs 280 faculty members, half of whom hold doctoral degrees.
The university is a CHED-recognized Center of Development in Fisheries and consistently ranks among the top-performing schools in national board exams.
For updates, applicants are encouraged to follow ISUFST’s official Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ISUFSTOfficialPage/. (Herman Lagon / PAMMCO)
