BAROTAC NUEVO, Iloilo — The Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology (ISUFST) has opened its search for one private sector representative to serve on its Board of Regents, inviting qualified individuals or nominees from the private sector to apply.
The private sector representative is expected to bring industry and professional perspectives to the board, helping enhance governance and align university policies with societal and economic realities.
Interested applicants and nominators may access the eligibility criteria, required documents, and selection guidelines by scanning the official QR code or visiting the university website at www.isufst.edu.ph.
All applications and nominations must be submitted on or before Feb. 13, 2026, at 5 p.m.
Selection criteria
Candidates will be evaluated based on the following:
- Prestige and prominence in their field
- Active or prior involvement in civic, social, religious, or professional organizations
- Documented achievements in their specialization
- Demonstrated knowledge, expertise, breadth of experience, and business acumen
Eligibility requirements
Applicants or nominees must:
- Be a Filipino citizen of legal age
- Come from an industry, business, or profession aligned with ISUFST’s mandate
- Have at least five years of experience in the private sector
- Be a resident of Iloilo province or the host city for at least two years
- Have had no employment or connection with ISUFST or any government agency for at least one year before nomination
- Not currently employed in any government position, whether full-time or part-time
- Not be related within the fourth civil degree to any current board member
- Not having lost in any national or local election, except barangay elections, within the past year
Documentary requirements
Applicants and nominees must submit the following:
- A duly notarized application or nomination letter with the nominee’s written consent
- A notarized Personal Data Sheet (CSC Form 212)
- Certificate of employment in the private sector
- Service record, if previously employed in government
- NBI clearance
- Certification of no current connection with ISUFST
- Signed commitment and availability to serve as a private sector representative
- Signed in accordance with PSR conditions
- Other documents as required by the governing board
