BAROTAC NUEVO, Iloilo — A spirited delegation of student-athletes and officials from the Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology has departed for Camiguin to join the 2025 National State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association Games, set for April 22 to 27.
Sixteen ISUFST athletes qualified after standout performances in the Regional SCUAA Games held last December, which the university proudly hosted.

This year’s SCUAA Games is hosted by Camiguin Polytechnic State College in partnership with the Provincial Government of Camiguin, the Association of State Universities and Colleges in Region X, and the Mindanao Association of State Tertiary Schools.
The event, themed “Advancing SUC Unity, Elevating Sports Excellence for Sustainable Development,” gathers hundreds of student-athletes to promote competition, camaraderie and a shared vision for progress in higher education.
Before their departure, ISUFST’s SCUAA delegates paid a courtesy visit to University President Dr. Nordy Siason Jr., who stressed the value of discipline and self-care.
“Discipline, one of ISUFST’s guiding principles, is the foundation of success,” he said.
