BACOLOD City – Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry executive officer Frank Carbon said that Inter-Agency Task Force Visayas chief implementer Gen. Melquiades Feliciano presented to them his virus containment protocol for the city.
Carbon on Thursday said Feliciano met with the business and medical sectors Tuesday.
He recalled that Feliciano requested two weeks to present his “game plan” as part of the city government’s effort to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease in the city.
Carbon said Feliciano told them that part of the containment protocol is to isolate persons who test positive for COVID-19.
The patient’s house will then be locked down and the household members subjected to swab tests.
The same procedure will be applied to offices or establishments if the positive patient works on-site.
Carbon said they are for this granular lockdown as it will lessen the local transmission in households and offices.
He also said this will not lead to closure or suspension of economic activities.
