The Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U) Student Republic will be bringing in a mega-treat for its students after finalizing their 2021 Virtual Pahampang.
With the theme: Unleashing the talents and spirit of sportsmanship amidst pandemic: a virtual literary-musical and sports contest, the ISAT U Student Republic aims to offer the students from high school to college a huge treat since face-to-face competitions are still prohibited.
Also, the rising popularity of esports in the Philippines drove the ISAT U Student Republic to spearhead such an event that features five Egames tournament, four sports tournament, and eight categories for the literary-musical competition.
Under the literary-musical competition are Creative Meme Interpretation, Poster-Slogan Making Contest, Character Interpretation, Hugot Line Making Contest, Virtual Vocal Solo Pop, Virtual Vocal Duet Pop, and Virtual Hiphop.
For the Esports tournament, the finest gamers from ISAT U will be vying for the top prize in Mobile Legends, (15,000 pesos) League of Legends Wild Rift, (15,000 pesos) PUBG Mobile, (7,000 pesos) Call of Duty Mobile, (7,000 pesos) and Mobile Legends Magic Chess (4,500 pesos).
Meanwhile, under the Virtual Physical Exhibition category, Arnis, Pencak Silat, Karate Kumite Drills, and Taekwondo (Speed Kicking) will be featured.
The events will be taking place from February 23-26 but the ISAT U Facebook page will only be streaming the championship rounds live from February 25-26.
The ISAT U Student Republic composed of SR President Iris T. Castor is the overall chairman of the Virtual Pahampang while esports heads are Reymark Dalida and Mel Voltaire Crispolon.
