ISARAP benes rice retailing project rolls on

The rice retailing projects for qualified beneficiaries of the Integrated Sustainable Assistance Recovery and Advancement Program (ISARAP) from Silay City are now on a roll a month after the livelihood inputs were released.

Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-6 Regional Director Atty. Sixto T. Rodriguez, Jr. is continuously monitoring the projects of the beneficiaries who passed the assessment based on Department Order No. 173-17 or the Revised Guidelines in the Implementation of the Department of Labor and Employment Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Programs (DILEEP).

Of the nine (9) qualified beneficiaries, five (5) are vendors, two (2) are drivers and two (2) are displaced workers who received a livelihood assistance worth Thirty Thousand Pesos (Php30,000) each and opted for a Rice Retailing Project after considering their individual experiences and the availability of a space and amenities in their homes that are strategically located along the streets in their localities.

The project aims to provide sustainable livelihood and self-employment opportunities to improve the socio-economic well-being of the beneficiaries.
