Former Premier Volleyball League (PVL) player Iris Tolenada has been named as Fil-Am Nation’s volleyball director.
Fil-Am Nation aims to maintain the circle of Filipino-American volleyball players abroad and eventually help them go home to the country and play competitively.
Chosen by the organization to lead them, Tolenada bared that she will perform her duty thoroughly and with passion.
“You can look forward to the Fil-Am volleyball players getting more exposure not only across the nation, but hopefully across the world,” said Tolenada.
Tolenada was ready for her return in a Motolite uniform but the Covid-19 pandemic put a stop to everything.
In 2016, Tolenada was recognized by the PVL as the Open Conference Best Setter and has been noted for having one of the best work ethics in the league.
“I accepted this opportunity because this is an amazing chance for me to connect more with the Fil-Am community, and it’s also a way for me to get back into coaching in a different way,” added Tolenada.
