Incumbent Maayon Mayor, 5 Vice Mayors Run Unopposed

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Maayon Mayor Raymond “Mon-mon” Malapajo and five other candidates for vice mayor in Capiz are set to win in the 2025 local elections, as no challengers have filed to run against them.
According to the Commission on Elections (Comelec), Malapajo is the only re-electionist mayor in the province running unopposed. He also serves as the president of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) in Capiz.
His running mate, Vice Mayor Jose Claveria Dapulaza, is also running without opposition.
Both Malapajo and Dapulaza, along with their Sangguniang Bayan (SB) candidates, are part of the One Capiz coalition.
Eleven individuals filed certificates of candidacy for SB member. They are:
- Rene Desales Barrios
- Wilfredo Berganio Borres III
- Nichole Dordas Delfin
- Chriselle Joy Dayao Diaz
- Eded Delfin Diaz
- Noel Dordas Diestro
- Jose Renil Fuentes Distor
- Syvel Grace Artates Dueñas
- Weldie Delfin Duronio
- Ramil Icayan Gubio
- Rodelyn Dacibar Hacermida
Additionally, four other re-electionist vice mayoral candidates, all from the One Capiz coalition, are also running unopposed:
- Audie Advincula (Panitan)
- Ralph Odrunia (Sapian)
- Dominico Danos (Dao)
- RJ Yap (Ivisan)
The four candidates belong to the One Capiz coalition.
