Ilonggo hoops superstar John Bryan Sajonia can now officially call himself a professional PBA player.
On Dec. 19, 2025, the Titan Ultra Giant Risers—the franchise that drafted him during the recent PBA Rookie Draft—rewarded him with a one-year contract, as announced on their official social media page.
Fresh off winning the NCAA championship title and the Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP) award with the San Beda Red Lions, Titan Ultra quickly pulled the trigger to acquire their talented rookie.
Sajonia was selected 39th overall during the PBA Season 50 Draft, months before he was shooting the lights out to help San Beda reclaim its NCAA throne.
With the recent performances Sajonia displayed against the College of Saint Benilde during the semifinals and against Letran during the championship-clinching series, Titan Ultra didn’t think twice and locked in the services of the Pavia, Iloilo native.
The former Santa Clarita International School of Iloilo star was instrumental during Game 2 of the finals, where San Beda endured the absence of their scoring machine, Janti Miller, who was suspended due to two technical flop fouls in Game 1.
Sajonia stepped up when San Beda needed him the most, dropping 21 big points in Game 2 against the Knights, 83–71, at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
He provided the much-needed offensive lift for the Red Lions, turning a nine-point deficit into a slim lead with two minutes remaining in the second quarter.
After a slow start in the first quarter, Sajonia waxed hot in the following frame, dropping 10 markers that put head coach Yuri Escueta in the position they wanted to be in against a laser-focused Letran squad.
The Knights nearly broke the game wide open after mounting a nine-point advantage, but Sajonia detonated two huge three-point bombs, a layup, and a perfect trip to the free-throw line that prevented any stomping plans from Letran.
Sajonia also spearheaded a massive third-quarter rally, where the Red Lions started to pull away, backstopping the three-point barrage delivered by graduating team captain Yukien Andrada, who was unconscious from downtown.
The Knights gave their all after pulling within a single digit in the fourth, but the collective effort from Sajonia, Yukien Andrada, Nygel Gonzales, and Penny Estacio shut down any come-from-behind drama to wrap up NCAA Season 101 with the golden trophy.
“NCAA Season 101 champion and Finals MVP Bryan Sajonia signs a one-year deal with Titan Ultra! Welcome to Titan Ultra, Bryan!” the Giant Risers posted on their official Facebook page.
