Multi-awarded singer-songwriter Winset Jacot is best known for her maoy songs, most prominent of which is “Gugma Pa More,” the anthem MOR stations used then as a bed for one of their top-rated programs.
Her latest single “I Still Do” is a far cry from her previous Filipino and Bisaya releases as it revisits her pop-rock roots during her early days in the band scene, and it deviates from her signature forlorn themes. “I Still Do” may have a tinge of regret, but it resonates more loudly with hope and bliss. It is one of the first songs she crafted while starting out in the industry as a homegrown artist in Cagayan de Oro, so it is fitting that her producer, Mitch Tabor, infused it with her original sound.

Armed with a solid folio boasting of music making it to Himig Handog, PhilPop, Bombo Music Festival, Vispop, Cebu Pop Music Festival, among others, Winset continues to innovate as a prolific songwriter and soulful singer. “I Still Do” can be downloaded on iTunes and Spotify and is also available on YouTube courtesy of Viva Records.
