Iloilo’s 7th Most Wanted Arrested for Rape

Police arrested one of Iloilo province’s most wanted persons on the afternoon of Jan. 14 in Barangay Tumay, Mina, Iloilo.
The suspect, identified as alias Orlan, a 41-year-old jobless resident of Barangay Nasirum, Mina, was taken into custody by members of the Mina Municipal Police Station.
Authorities arrested Orlan based on an arrest warrant for rape by carnal knowledge under Article 266-A, Paragraph 1, in relation to Article 266-B of the Revised Penal Code and Republic Act 7610, the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act.
The Regional Trial Court in Dumangas, Iloilo, issued the warrant on Dec. 12, 2024. No bail was recommended.
Captain Isagani Tabares, Mina police chief, confirmed that the suspect ranked seventh on Iloilo province’s most wanted list.
The alleged rape occurred in April 2024 in Mina. Tabares stated that the complainant, a minor, is related to the suspect but did not provide further details.
The suspect is currently detained as authorities prepare the necessary legal proceedings.
