Iloilo town’s most wanted man nabbed in Masbate

The most wanted person in Zarraga, Iloilo was arrested late afternoon of March 15, 2022 in Masbate province.

Christian Rañon, 27, a resident of Barangay Talauguis, Zarraga, Iloilo, was collared months after an arrest warrant was issued against him.

Joint operatives from the Zarraga Police Station, Masbate Police Provincial Office-Provincial Intelligence Unit, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company of Masbate PPO, and Aroroy Police Station nabbed Rañon at Purok 1, Barangay Sawang, Aroroy town.

The suspect is facing three counts of rape docketed as Criminal Case Numbers 21-86738, 21-86739 and 21-86740.

Judge Elijo Sharon Ronzalez Herrera-Bellones of the Regional Trial Court Branch 27 in Iloilo City issued the arrest warrant on Aug. 27, 2021.

No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.

Rañon was accused of raping his 14-year-old cousin.

According to the victim’s grandmother, Rañon sexually molested his cousin inside their house.

Rañon is now detained.
