A teenage boy was arrested after he was accused of sexual molestation in Calinog, Iloilo.
Alias JA, a resident of one of the villages in Calinog, was collared while walking in Barangay Poblacion Ilaya on the afternoon of Oct. 1, 2025.
Members of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6’s 602nd Company, together with the Calinog Municipal Police Station, the PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group and the Regional Intelligence Unit 6, apprehended the suspect by virtue of an arrest warrant for rape by carnal knowledge under Article 266-A(1) in relation to Article 266-B of the Revised Penal Code.
A court in Iloilo City issued the arrest warrant on Aug. 20, 2025.
No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.
JA is listed as the third most-wanted person in Iloilo province.
Maj. Myles Dieron, Calinog police chief, said the suspect was apparently aware that a case was lodged against him.
He claimed the alleged incident involved him and a woman from their village during a drinking session.
Apart from the rape case, JA has no other police records.
The suspect is now detained for proper disposition of his case.
