Iloilo Supermart is giving shoppers more reasons to visit its stores with the “Made in USA” campaign, which offers exclusive deals on premium American food and beverage products until July 14.
Held in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines, the two-week promotion is part of the Freedom 250 campaign commemorating the 250th anniversary of American independence and the celebration of 80 years of Philippine-U.S. diplomatic relations.
The campaign officially opened July 1 at The Atrium Lobby, bringing together government officials, business leaders, and industry representatives.
Guests included Iloilo City Mayor Raisa Treñas-Chu, Provincial Liga ng mga Barangay President Amalia Debuque, Aulynn Yue Sin, officer in charge of the Office of the Local Economic Development and Provincial Tourism Office, U.S. Wheat Associates Assistant Regional Director for South and Southeast Asia Tyllor Ledford, and Iloilo Supermart Inc. representative John Alexander Que.
The milestone year marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, and 80 years since the Philippines and the United States formally established diplomatic relations on July 4, 1946.
In a recorded message, U.S. Embassy Agricultural Counselor Michael Ward said the initiative celebrates the enduring partnership between the United States and the Philippines while giving Ilonggo consumers greater access to high-quality American food and beverage products.
Ward also recognized the support of industry partners, including the California Milk Advisory Board, Potatoes USA, the USA Poultry and Egg Export Council, the U.S. Meat Export Federation, U.S. Wheat Associates, and the Washington State Department of Agriculture.
He also thanked local importers, distributors, and Iloilo Supermart for helping bring a diverse range of U.S. products to Ilonggo consumers.
Throughout the campaign, shoppers can enjoy special in-store offers on participating products while exploring a variety of food and beverage selections from different U.S. states.
The launch also featured a live cooking demonstration by Chef Maeo Joe Davis, who showcased how American ingredients can be used to prepare dishes suited to Filipino tastes.
The “Made in USA” campaign underscores Iloilo Supermart’s commitment to expanding customers’ access to quality international products while creating a more rewarding shopping experience through exclusive promotions and engaging in-store activities.
