Iloilo resident wanted for rape arrested in Capiz

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 25-year-old statutory rape suspect from Iloilo was arrested by police Saturday morning at Barangay Astorga, Dumarao, Capiz.

Hernan Planto of Barangay Poscolon, San Rafael, Iloilo did not resist when officers of San Rafael Iloilo and Dumarao police collared him at his relative’s house where he was hiding.

The warrant was issued by Iloilo Regional Trial Court Branch 66 Judge Jose Mauricio F. Gomez of Barotac Viejo, Iloilo on June 22, 2020. The court did not allow the suspect to post bail.

Planto is presently detained in the lock up cell of San Rafael Iloilo Municipal Police Station.

The suspect fled after he was charged for statutory rape by a relative months ago.
