A farmer accused of sexual molestation was arrested on the morning of Nov. 20 in Anilao, Iloilo.
Alias Mark, 39, was taken into custody at his house in Barangay San Carlos, Anilao.
Elements of the Anilao Municipal Police Station arrested him by virtue of a warrant for qualified rape under Article 266-A in relation to Article 266-B of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act 8353 and further amended by Republic Act 11648.
Branch 66 of the 6th Regional Trial Court in Barotac Viejo, Iloilo, issued the warrant on Nov. 17, 2025.
The court did not recommend bail for his temporary liberty.
Captain Kate Apaitan, Anilao police chief, said the suspect is listed as the second most wanted person in Anilao and the third most wanted in Iloilo province.
Police said Mark, a bachelor, was accused of raping a 14-year-old relative.
They said the incident happened last year.
Apaitan said the suspect offered no resistance during the arrest.
She added that he did not attempt to flee even before the warrant was issued.
“Mark” is currently being detained and will be turned over to the court concerned.
