Iloilo police win PRO-6 EMPO challenge

The Iloilo Police Provincial Office emerged as champion of the Police Regional Office 6’s third Enhanced Managing Police Operations Challenge.

Col. Bayani Razalan, IPPO director, received the Perpetual Trophy during PRO-6’s flag-raising and awards ceremony at the regional headquarters July 13.

The Enhanced Managing Police Operations Challenge is a comprehensive simulation and capability assessment program for the Philippine National Police.

The program evaluates the operational readiness of police units by testing their response speed, use of technology, and tactical coordination during critical 911 emergencies and other high-pressure situations.

Participating police offices responded to simulated critical incidents designed to assess emergency call handling, communication, coordination, use of modern policing tools, and command leadership.

The third EMPO Challenge was conducted July 9, 2026.

Razalan said the recognition underscored IPPO’s operational excellence, preparedness, and unwavering commitment to responsive, trusted, and transformative policing.

He said the award also reflected the dedication, competence, and teamwork of IPPO personnel in providing quality police services to the people of Iloilo.

Razalan added that the achievement strengthened the provincial police office’s commitment to professional excellence and public service.

PRO-6 is the PNP regional command responsible for Western Visayas.
