The Iloilo Mark V. Pinggol (MVP) taekwondo gym dominated during the recently concluded 2021 Online National CPJ Taekwondo Speed Kicking and Poomsae Championships.
An exclusive online national event for blackbelt jins, the representatives mentored by Mr. Pinggol dazzled and scored seven total medals against the best of the best in the country.
The Ilonggo MVP jins tallied four medals in the speed kicking category and hauled three more medals in the poomsae event.
Ilonggo kid wonder Cyd Edryc Esmaña led the way for the MVP jins after winning a gold medal in the poomsae cadet male event that added another award in his stacked resume this 2021.
Angela Joy Bermejo followed Esmaña with another gold medal in the speed kicking event under the junior women category.
Meanwhile, MVP gym’s last gold medal was delivered by Alexis Eunice Araneta in the speed kicking event cadet female category
Silver medalists during the all-blackbelt event were Julianna Martha Uy, and Red Dyron Dedoroy while the bronze medalists were Andria Margaret Palabrica and Jannah Ysabel Velez.
The Online National CPJ tournament was sanctioned by the Philippine Taekwondo Association in partnership with the MVP Sports Foundation.
