The Iloilo Mark V. Pinggol (MVP) Taekwondo gym is back in action after almost a month and collected an astonishing 24-medal tally in the 2021 SMART/MVP SPORTS FOUNDATION ASIAN ONLINE OPEN TAEKWONDO Poomsae and Speed Kicking Championships.
After their 22-medal finish during the 2021 SMART/MVPSF Online National Taekwondo Speed Kicking Championships, the Pinggol-led jins once again brought Iloilo to the pedestal of taekwondo and became one of the most dominant squads in the competition.
The Iloilo MVP gym clinched a total of 24 medals: 10 gold medals, seven silvers, and seven bronze during the several categories they joined.
Alexis Araneta, Marielle Faye Lagamo, Eujean Ivanka Castete, James Annrhey Pecayco, Ianna Gabriella Rosales, Charee Marie Florence Geneceta, Cyd Edryc Esmaña, Julianna Marta Uy, Phil Caleb Regalado, and Niesha Kariz Pequierda were the gold-medalists that immediately racked up the points for the Iloilo-based Taekwondo gym.
Meanwhile, Viene Marie Dulaca, Maria Beatriz Santos, Clyde Anthony Chua, Adrian Joseph Gajasan III, Lindsy Lorraine Degayo, Alicia Sophia Gutierrez, and Jenella Ashley Tionko delivered the silver medals for MVP.
Those who managed to land in the third-place of their respective categories were Shires Pastolero, Jeremiah Miguel Ong, Anthony Benedict Planta, Fracheska Isobelle Dunton, Margarette Gem Obsequio, Pearl Danielle Rosales, Crisgel Castro, and Joshua Castro.
