The Iloilo Mark V. Pinggol (MVP) didn’t miss a beat and continued their dominant streak after collecting medals in the recently concluded 2020 SMART/MVP Sports Foundation Global Taekwondo Online Speed Kicking Championships.
Among the four brave and young jins who carried the banner of the MVP gym representing not only Iloilo City but the country as well, two were able to clinch medals.
Akimeh Demavivas prevailed over the tough and talented jins from all over the world and secured a stellar silver medal finish in the Cadet Bantamweight category.
Meanwhile, Cyd Eryc Esmaña pulled-off one of his best performances in the Cadet Featherweight division to nab an impressive bronze medal finish.
Demavivas and Esmaña took on the challenge and embraced the competition against the finest jins from the Philippines, Korea, Iran, France Germany, Botswana, Guam, Italy, Australia, Turkey, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Lao, Vietnam, Myanmar, Canada, Chinese Taipei, China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Netherlands, England, Lebanon, Russia, Czech Republic, India, Thailand, Nepal, Mexico, Cambodia, USA, and Ethiopia.
The 2020 SMART/MVP Sports Foundation Global Taekwondo Online Speed Kicking Championships is organized by the Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA).
