The Iloilo Mark V. Pinggol (MVP) Taekwondo gym is back and has once again brought pride to Iloilo and Western Visayas after ruling the Philippine Taekwondo New Face of the Year 2021 Speed Kicking tournament.
Collecting a total of 19 medals, (8 gold, 6 silver, 5 bronze) the Pinggol-mentored gym proved that they are still one of the top Taekwondo gyms in the City of Love.
Considered as one of the breakout taekwondo gyms in the Philippines, the jins from the Iloilo MVP gym continue to impress everyone in all of their recent tourney stints and was able to further cement themselves on the international stage after making waves during the 3rd Lents Taekwondo Worldwide Sports Online Poomsae Open 2021.
Jeremiah Miguel Ong, Denzel Espadilla, Adrian Joseph Gajasan III, Eujean Ivanka Castete, Eduardo Adenic III, Sheine Nicole De Asis, Josh Karl Macahilig, and Alicia Sophia Gutierrez showed the MVP way and won all the 8 gold medals.
Meanwhile, Shanen Anica Feranco, Alexis Araneta, Pearl Danielle Rosales, Francheska Isobelle Dunton, and De Asis were the silver medalists.
The bronze medalists and the runner-ups were Christian Pudadera, Akimeh Demavivas, Gabrielle Dominic Capadosa, and Shires Pastolero.
“We are thankful to God for this another successful outcome. We always give our best in every training and despite the COVID crisis we continue to do our regular routines and most of all that we always trust the process of our training program,” said Mr. MVP himself, Mr. Pinggol in an exclusive interview with the Daily Guardian.
