A total of 21 of the 34 awards conferred during the ceremony went to the Iloilo provincial government, the city of Passi, and the municipalities of Alimodian, Dingle, Leganes, Guimbal, Mina, New Lucena, and Tubungan.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government described the recognitions as a reflection of sustained efforts toward effective, responsive, and results-oriented local governance in the province.
The Iloilo provincial government was also cited as a Sustainable Development Goal–Achievement Champion and Exemplar for its initiative, “Zero to Limpyo Iloilo: Movement for Province-Wide Zero Open Defecation.”
