Fresh from a Professional Chess Association of the Philippines (PCAP) second conference “Wesley So Cup” championship run, the Iloilo Kisela Knights are battle-ready once again for the upcoming last tournament leg this 2021.
The season-ending San Miguel Corporation-Ayala Land Premier Cup of PCAP will begin today and powerhouse newcomers were invited to grace the competition.
International teams led by the heavyweight Chinese chess team already confirmed their participation in the third conference the same with Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.
Meanwhile, household names in the PH chess scene were also invited: The Philippine Paralympic team, Pampanga Checkers and the Davao Eagles.
With so much firepower from the teams participating in the upcoming San Miguel Corporation-Ayala Land Premier Cup, the Iloilo-based squad is still gunning for supremacy and is seeking their second title in a row.
Apart from the new teams, Season I champions Laguna Heroes of the Northern Division will also be returning to action.
The Kisela Knights are led by Leo Sotaridona and Hyubs Canto and will still banner the same roster that provided them the championship last conference.
