After rekindling their lost fire in a hard-fought win over the powerhouse Camarines squad in their last match, the Iloilo Kisela Knights are looking to pick up where they left-off as they are now aiming for another sweep on Day 6 of the Professional Chess Association of the Philippines (PCAP) tournament.
Since falling to the Negros Kingsmen, the Kisela Knights have fought their way back into the winning column against Camarines and Cordova.
Theirs was a momentum-boosting win over the favorite Camarines team. They were able to edge a sliver of a win in the Rapid category with just two points, 8-6. This gave them the margin they needed to emerge victorious in the overall series, 11.5-9.5.
In their next match, the Iloilo-based chess team handed the Cordova Duchtess Dagami Warriors a crushing defeat, 17-4.
Today, the Kisela Knights will seek to continue their winning streak and will face the tough Iriga City Oragons and the Mindoro Tamaraws.
Action will begin at 7PM with the Kisela Knights facing the Oragons first then the showdown against the Tamaraws will be at 9PM.
