The Iloilo Kisela Knights had another dominating performance during day 8 of the Professional Chess Association of the Philippines (PCAP) tournament.
After outlasting the powerhouse Caloocan Loadmanna Knights, the Kisela Knights cruised past the Laguna Heroes and the Antipolo Cobras to sweep another day of the ongoing PCAP tourney.
The Iloilo squad pulled-off great counter plays during their first series with Laguna after edging them at the end, 12.5-8.5.
Kisela Knights needed a collective effort from the first man up to the last in order to sustain their points for both the Rapid and the Blitz category.
Meanwhile, during their next game, Iloilo put on the exclamation point after holding Antipolo to just three points compared to their 18.
Every strategy Antipolo tried was easily countered by the Kisela Knights who were all eager to close PCAP Day 8 with a huge bang.
The Iloilo-based chess squad is currently sitting at the top spot of the Southern conference with a record of 13-2 together with rival Negros Kingsmen.
