The Iloilo Kisela Knights posted their fourth consecutive win in the Professional Chess Association of the Philippines (PCAP) season II “Wesley So Cup Conference” Day 7 after a flawless back-to-back victory performance.
After crushing Cebu and Toledo in their past scheduled match day, the Kisela Knights continued to roll and did the same against Cavite, 18.5-2.5, and Cagayan, 16-5.
It seemed like Cavite and Cagayan had no answers against the overwhelming offensive play displayed by Iloilo.
Against Cavite, the Kisela Knights recorded an outstanding 10-straight consecutive playing board victory before dropping their first in the Rapid category.
Dennis Bernas, GM Kamil Dragun, and NM John Michael Silvederio shone the most after sweeping both of their boards in the Rapid and Blitz category.
Meanwhile, Iloilo rode their hot hands and continued their unstoppable avalanche against Cagayan in their last match.
This time, Cesar Mariano led the attack together with Fritz Bryan Porras who both ignited the Iloilo offense off their back-to-back wins.
Iloilo is still in third place behind Camarines and Cordova but still leads in terms of the total points garnered with 197.5.
