The Iloilo Kisela Knights are just too much to handle this 2021 Professional Chess Association of the Philippines (PCAP) San Miguel Corporation-Ayala Land Premier Association Cup after notching their sixth straight win with an undefeated record.
Fresh off a back-to-back victory past match day including a dominant win over rival squad Camarines, the Kisela Knights this time had the Cordova Dutchess Dagami Warriors as their casualty after handing them a demolition course, 16-5.
It was another Iloilo offensive clinic as they just ran over the Dagami Warriors with their well-planned executions including a flawless 6-1 start in the first seven playing boards.
Iloilo staples GM Rogelio Antonio Jr., Karl Viktor Ochoa, NM John Michael Silvederio, and WFM Cherry Ann Mejia led the offensive attack from the get-go in the Blitz category.
During the Rapid category, Cordova tried to fight back when they won the last two playing boards but Iloilo still led after the final score tally, thanks to them grabbing the first five boards.
With their sixth straight win, Iloilo now holds solo first-place of the Southern Division with 100 points and second overall behind San Juan with 103 points.
