Police identified the suspect as alias “Sazkie,” single, employed with VG Security Agency, and a resident of Carles, Iloilo, temporarily staying in La Paz.
The operation was conducted at 11:13 a.m. by the City Drug Enforcement Unit of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO), with support from Iloilo City Police Station 2 and the ICPO Special Weapons and Tactics Team.
Authorities recovered eleven heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets and three knot-tied transparent plastic bags containing suspected shabu, a strip of aluminum foil with shabu residue, buy-bust money, and various non-drug items.
Western Visayas police regional director PBGEN Josefino D. Ligan praised the ICPO team for the successful operation.
“I commend everyone for a job well done. This significant drug seizure is a clear manifestation that PRO-6 remains relentless in its efforts to eradicate the drug menace in the region,” Ligan said.
The suspect is now under police custody pending the filing of appropriate charges.
