Iloilo City’s No. 2 most wanted arrested in Jaro

Police arrested one of Iloilo City’s most wanted persons on the evening of July 20 in Jaro, Iloilo City.

The 23-year-old suspect, identified only as alias Ron, is a resident of Barangay San Roque in Jaro and was apprehended in Barangay M.H. Del Pilar.

Members of Iloilo City Police Station 9 arrested him on warrants for statutory rape and rape by sexual assault.

Judge Kareen Porquez de la Cruz of the Family Court, Branch 5, in Iloilo City issued the warrants July 17, 2026.

No bail was recommended for the statutory rape charge, while bail for the rape by sexual assault charge was set at PHP 200,000.

Police Capt. Jersey Besas, the station chief, said the suspect was Iloilo City’s No. 2 most wanted person and the station’s most wanted man.

The suspect remains in the custody of Iloilo City Police Station 9 and will be turned over to the issuing court for further proceedings.

Police Col. Wilbert Parilla, director of the Iloilo City Police Office, commended the officers involved in the operation for their dedication and commitment to the campaign against wanted persons.

Parilla said, “No wanted person can evade the long arm of the law indefinitely.”

He added, “Under my watch, the ICPO will continue to intensify its operations to ensure that those who violate the law are brought to justice.”

From July 1 to 15, 2026, the Iloilo City Police Office arrested 32 fugitives in 36 law enforcement operations as part of its intensified campaign against wanted persons.

Of those arrested, five were classified as most wanted persons and 27 as other wanted persons, according to the police office.
