Iloilo City takes center stage this April 28-29, 2026, as the Sustainability Summit Iloilo convenes at Solana Premiere. A joint effort by Sustainability PH and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) – Iloilo Chapter, the event gathers sustainability professionals, business leaders, and policy makers to translate global sustainability targets into a tangible roadmap for the local community.
Breaking Barriers through Conversations
More than a mere conference, the summit comes to life through “Sustainability Unplugged,” a signature event format that replaces traditional, rigid lectures with raw and authentic dialogue.
Symbolized by the bilao, the event is inspired by the Filipino tradition of gathering around a table to exchange ideas and resources. The bilao represents the summit’s commitment to collective knowledge, where every participant contributes to the discussion. This approach brings diverse stakeholders into the same conversation, aiming to create a space where global environmental, social, and governance commitments can be translated into locally-grounded strategies—particularly for Western Visayas.\
Addressing Global Standards and Local Compliance
The program focuses on the shifting regulatory landscape for Philippine enterprises, as sustainability shifts beyond advocacy to risk management, transparency, and long-term competitiveness. With the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) moving toward mandatory sustainability reporting, the summit provides a timely forum to navigate this transition, and the PCCI – Iloilo Chapter plays a central role in guiding local businesses with clarity and insight.
A Regional Connection
The summit highlights a strong regional alliance through Prometheus, the exclusive partner of Sustainability PH for the Visayas and Mindanao regions. Based in Iloilo City, Prometheus operates at the heart of a city consistently recognized for its award-winning sustainability practices and resilient urban design. This partnership ensures that world-class sustainability frameworks account for the unique economic and environmental landscape of Southern Philippines.
What to Expect
Across two days, participants will move from shared grounding to applied learning across multiple disciplines. Plenary discussions set the context for sustainability integration in business and governance, while interactive focus-group activities will explore urban planning, community development, among others. Industry integration sessions will focus on the future of digitalization and how technology accelerates decarbonization.
Capacity-building modules provide professionals with the tools for ESG integration, and feature segments highlight sustainable infrastructure specifically for the Western Visayas region. These sessions ensure that every attendee leaves with a clear plan to turn national sustainability goals into a reality.
Turning National Goals into Local Reality
As Iloilo City continues its rise as a leading Philippine urban center, the Sustainability Summit Iloilo provides the platform to guarantee this growth remains responsible and inclusive. The collaboration between Sustainability PH and PCCI – Iloilo ensures that national environmental goals become a tangible, localized reality for the people of Western Visayas.
The Sustainability Summit Iloilo is co-presented by Prometheus, JCI Regatta, and Daily Guardian.
