After a four-month hiatus, the Iloilo City Sports Academy tennis program is back in action to help promote a healthy lifestyle for the Ilonggo kids.
Executive Assistant for Sports Mr. Rudiver Jungco Sr. confirmed to Daily Guardian that tennis under the ICSA is back but with strict protocols for the health and safety of the kids and coaches.
Since the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) was imposed by the national government, all ICSA programs were halted to help stop the spread of the virus.
After the resume of play in the La Paz tennis court last May, the ICSA tennis coaches and organizers came up with the plan for their return which also came in line with the rules and guidelines they made since Iloilo slid down to General Community Quarantine (GCQ).
Last July 6, members of the Iloilo City Sports Development Division and organizers for the ICSA, coach Alven Santiago and coach Alquinn Flores were present together with the ICSA athletes and parents to discuss safety protocols in their return to play.
The ICSA is a sports program formulated by Mr. Jungco Sr. to help build a strong and consistent pool of players to represent Iloilo City in various sports.
