Iloilo City logs zero Covid-19 cases 11 times in April 2022

Iloilo City has not recorded any positive Covid-19 cases for 11 times in the month of April, based on data from the City Epidemiological Surveillance Unit (CESU).
CESU reported that the city logged zero Covid-19 cases on April 2, April 3, April 7, April 12-15, April 17, April 21-22, and April 26.
From April 1 to April 26, the city only recorded 29 cases, averaging 0 to 5 cases per day.
As of April 23, the city has 10 active cases with 8,801 total local cases, 8,716 recoveries, and 75 fatalities.
Out of the 75 fatalities, 24 are vaccinated and 51 are unvaccinated.
Despite the consistent drop of Covid-19 cases in the metro, Mayor Jerry Treñas urged the public to avail of booster shots particularly the 2nd booster shots which are available to immune-compromised.
“We have booster shots sa aton mga health centers. We are now open to give the 2nd booster shot of Covid-19 vaccines to our immune-compromised. We want to go back to the new normal,” he said in a previous media interview. (DG)
