Iloilo City coastal road now an industrial zone

ILOILO CITY’S coastal road is now an industrial zone.
This, after the City Council approved Regulation Ordinance No. 2019-359 reclassifying adjoining areas along the Iloilo Coastal Road in barangays Ticud, San Isidro, Banuyao, and Hinactacan in La Paz district and Balabago in Jaro district from residential to light industrial mixed use zone.
Mayor Jerry P. Treñas said the zoning reclassification move aims to prepare the metropolis for influx of investments.
“We won’t wait for businesses to come in but we have to invite investors. We have to make it easy for them to invest and do business. We need to do things fast to react to improvements otherwise we will be moving at slow pace,” Treñas stressed.
