The Iloilo Kisela Knights showed another dominant performance after crushing the Toledo City Trojans, 15-6, during the Professional Chess Association of the Philippines (PCAP) season II “Wesley So Cup Conference”.
With a few games left before the regular season ends, the Kisela Knights are peaking at the right time after dominating in the last 15 games of the tournament and are looking to finish strong like they did the previous season.
After losing their first two games in the previous season, the Kisela Knights just steamed-roll their opponents in the second half of the tournament and piled up their winning streak to 16.
As usual, Iloilo had a convincing start against Toledo as they immediately led 5-2 in the Blitz category.
Karl Victor Ochoa, Fiona Gweeneth Guirhem, NM Cesar Mariano, and NM John Michael Silvederio led the attack for Iloilo in the Blitz.
The onslaught continued in the Rapid category as Iloilo outplayed Toledo once again and ended the last seven boards with a 10-4 score.
Iloilo had a solid winning percentage once again and only dropped four playing boards out of fourteen, one of the most impressive stats in their win.
